CORE Sports works with athletes of any age to maximize their performance by building strength, speed, agility, and character through targeted training.

CORE Kids ages 4 to Middle School

Coach D has over a decade of experience working specifically with kids. He understands how to encourage, motivate, and build results among young athletes. School-aged kids are welcome and can choose to participate in any of the CORE Sports Schools or sport-specific training programs we offer.

We work with young adult and adult athletes to optimize training which may have begun decades ago. Our emphasis is to offer specific feedback aimed to correct inefficient movements and muscular imbalances. Athletes enrolled in high school and older are also welcome and can choose to participate in any of the CORE Sports Schools or sport-specific training programs we offer.

In addition to our general programs focusing on overall attributes like strength and speed, we offer training programs specifically geared toward your sport in order to optimize your golf swing, maximize your pitching mechanics, or improve your high jump.

Sport Specific Training

CORE Strength School

In order to properly gain strength that translates to the sport of play, an athlete must first learn the proper movement. Our bodies are designed to twist, pivot, lift, bend, climb etc. We believe in the proven scientific method of integrated training with a great deal of focus on corrective locomotion and form. We incorporate multi-sport specific strength training along with metabolic energy system training. Being strong does an individual zero good if him or her cannot translate it to his or her specific sport. Our comprehensive approach will begin in the body weight phase and then transition to an array of resistance training. As the athlete progresses, light to moderate loads will be incorporated.

If you want to be fast, an athlete must train fast. Not everyone is blessed with Usain Bolt speed, but if the proper technique is taught and utilized, an athlete will see progress. Our goal is to teach each athlete how to successfully maintain power and efficiency and improve stride length and stride rate all while maintaining correct movement mechanics. We want to train and mimic our speed just like cheetahs. This means our athletes must minimize wasted movements for optimal performance. When it comes to speed, quality versus quantity is our focus, so no poor motor patterns are formed. The heart of our Speed School focuses on ground reaction force, drive phase, top end speed, and much more!

CORE Speed School

Footwork, awareness, and overall stability in movement are key to agility, and agility is developed by training the body to redirect movement as needed. Our Agility School develops your reaction times, sensory receptors, and neuromuscular coordination for optimized results, regardless of the sport. We teach precision by exposing athletes to various real-time scenarios to improve reaction times and sharpen overall agility. 

CORE Balance and Flexibility School

Balance and Flexibility are often overlooked in athletic training programs. In our Balance and Flexibility School, we place emphasis on the development of a strong core to achieve maximum dynamic range of motion over time. Our bodies have a tendency of choosing the route of least resistance during a certain movement. We look for these tendencies and correct them by addressing muscle imbalances to improve flexibility and balance.
